My name is Shewakena from Ethiopia. I have read your announcement to new Doctoral scholarship for PhD to 2011

I have graduated my first degree in Geography and environmental study in Debub University (Ethiopia) in 2000. Besides, I have also graduated my second degree at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Sweden) in Master of Science major in the Built Environment Specialized in land management in April 2007.

Right from my first degree graduation to date I have been employed in different governmental authorities. During my employment period, I have been involved in different activities ranging from data collection in the field to supervision, coordination, and management of different projects related to cadastral surveying and land registration, property valuation for expropriations, advocacy of access to land and other natural resource rights for disadvantage groups, land information management, physical property planning, land use planning and related resource mobilization

With this scenario, the academic background and experience coupled with my deepest interest to deal with the subject like this one makes me a full person in my future career. I am Ahmed Adlan, a MSc holder in Molecular biology, from the Institute of the Endemic Diseases, Khartoum University, Sudan.
As i’ve worked in a microbiology lab for more than three years, i have a very good experience in both microbiology and molecular biology tools and techniques, and of course a good theoretical knowledge.
I have been working for 18 months as a Molecular Biology teaching assistant in Prince Sultan Millitary College of Health Science, Dhahran, KSA.
I am very much keen in persuing phd in Molecular biology, or Molecular Parasitology.
I would be grateful if you kindly let me know if there are any opportunities for a PhD with respect to these areas.

I am yadeta Ayana from Ethiopia. I completed my master in public health in July 2005. Now I am working in public health emergency management where all epidemics, man and natural made disasters encompassing conflicts are being managed by us all working in this area. I am a master degree holder in organic chemistry from a reputed autonomous institution from karnataka, India.From 2yrs, i am working as a research associate in a pharmaceutical company in synthetic and analytical chemistry department. I am having hands on experience in both synthetic chemistry and analytical chemistry with a good theoretical knowledge.And i have a basic to good level of understanting in biochemistry and molecular biology as i had persued my undergraduate studies with Biotechnology as one of the subject.

I am very much keen in persuing phd in either Synthetic Organic chemistry or Bio/molecular organic chemisrty.

I have received my Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Fergusson College Pune, University of Pune one of the superior and reputed colleges in India. I have finished my Masters degree in 2007. Then I have started my career in Sanofi Aventis in 2007. I have three years of working knowledge in the pharmaceutical Industry; I am working in an Industrial Excellence Laboratory. Sanofi Aventis is the third largest manufacturer of pharmaceutical products in the world. I had also undergone training at Sanofi Aventis, Frankfurt site at Germany for about one month in Industrial Excellence Laboratory. After working in the industry for three years I am interested in continuing my academic career as a PhD candidate. I want to work in a respective field of Organic Synthesis and I am looking forward to a career in research. My strengths are hard work, my confidence and my ability to accept challenges. From my childhood days I was very much interested in science subject and in particular chemistry. This interest led me to select Chemistry as my major subject in my 12+3 course. Synthetic Organic Chemistry has been my keen area of interest through out my academic and professional career my choice in graduate program was Chemistry, which I have pursued through Shivaji University Kolhapur. The well structured graduate curriculum has opened out to me a broader and vast developing field of Chemistry. After completing my Master Degree I analyzed my abilities, academic background and performance and came to a conclusion that Organic Chemistry is the ultimate discipline in which I can build up my career.
