The department invites applications in areas such as open innovation, the market for technology licenses and patents, R &amp; D collaboration, the transition to entrepreneurship, industrial dynamics, and other topics to see innovation or entrepreneurship as a question of economic organization.</p>

<p>Three-year PhD program at CBS allows you to conduct research under the supervision of CBS professors, supported by a research training program. PhD students will be enrolled in departmental PhD training program that includes a course packet of Economic Innovation, Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship, Econometrics, Qualitative Methods, plus Publishing Course. The program is very international, and you are expected to participate in international research conferences and spend time abroad as guest PhD student at another university.</p>
<p>A PhD scholarship runs for a period of 3 years, and includes teaching obligations equivalent of ½ year of work (840 hours). This scholarship salary positions fully, in accordance with the Danish national collective agreement. Scholarship covers tuition fees, office space, travel grants plus a salary, currently starting with 23.770 DKK (app. € 3,160) per month up to 28.964 DKK (app. € 3,860) depending on seniority, plus a pension contribution of 17.1% of 85 percent of base salary.<br />
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with Treasury agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).<br />
To be considered, candidates must have basic training at Masters level (similar to the Bologna process 3 2 +). Educational background in social sciences is required. The applicant must have successfully completed a Master&#8217;s degree before starting a PhD program at CBS. The applicant must be fluent in English. The Department will give priority to applicants with high grades from their university.</p>

Scholarship fund of 1 million NOK (about 130,000 U.S. Dollars Euro/170.000) will be given projects around the world. Scholarships apply to individuals, organizations or institutions in the arts community and culture.</p>

<p>The Ibsen Scholarships are awarded annually and applications are subject to supervision by an appointed jury. The Ibsen scholarship was initiated by the Norwegian government and will be distributed for the fifth time in 2012. Ibsen Award has so far handed over scholarships to 15 projects in 11 countries.</p>
<p>The winners of The Ibsen Scholarships 2012 will be presented at Skien International Ibsen Conference on September 10<sup>th</sup> and 11<sup>th</sup> in Skien, Norway.</p>

Through the investigation of excellence, specialized instruction programs and constant interaction with the economic actors (local government, local and national, European Union, companies, technology centers, business organizations, associations cluster, etc.)</p>

<p>The orchestra aims to strengthen economic competitiveness and the Basque community, both of Wich immersed in the dynamics that go beyond the regional level, but remain ever aware of the need to promote sustainable development. With offices in the University of Deusto, Donostia and Bilbao the Campus, the institute has an extensive network of collaborators, with the major role played by the Basque Government (through the regional development agency, Spri), the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, Euskaltel, Kutxa and Repsol-Petronor.Additionally, Institute has the support of the Boston Consulting Group, the Basque the Ente Vasco de Energia (EVE) (Basque Energy organization), Gamesa and Iberdrola, in the Department of Energy.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>European Network for Political Ecology (ENTITLE) offers 11 generously funded three year PhD scholarship is available to candidates from anywhere in the world.</p>
<p>ENTITLE is an EU-funded Initial Training Network under Marie Curie actions of FP7, coordinated by ICTA in the Autonomous University of Barcelona (icta.uab.es and www.eco2bcn.es) and with the collaboration of 11 research and NGO partners (Grant Agreement: 289 374 ).</p>
<p><span id="more-4245"></span></p>
<p>ENTITLE will train 17 researchers in the emerging field of Political Ecology, giving them the skills of theoretical, analytical and complement each other that will keep them employed in jobs related to environmental policy analysis and advocacy. Research and training that is framed around five main cluster is concerned with the analysis: the conflict environment, the environmental movement, natural disasters, changes in work production and common property, and environmental justice and democracy. The study was based on a series of empirical investigation based on a series of diverse geographic and thematic case studies. The researchers of the network will collaborate to offer a theoretical and methodological framework for empirical research and will synthesize the results of individual cases in a series of published output. The study will be the actions and policies that culminated in a series of action-oriented and policy briefs targeting civil society organizations and policy makers.</p>
<p>The researchers selected for this program will be trained through an integrated curriculum of local networks and intensive courses on topics related to, a summer school with teachers of international caliber, apprentice to EJOs (environmental justice organizations) and public and private sectors through training and employment. Entitled to build on an ongoing collaboration in training among the participating institutions, manifested in a series of summer schools (www.environmentalconflicts.com). It brings together some of the world&#8217;s top scholars in political ecology and related approaches, and overcome the fragmentation of political ecology research that already exists in Europe, offers a critical mass of research and training. The researchers trained the network will be employed in academia, public administration and EJOs.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will be given three-year contract with salary, benefits mobility and additional funding for research related to cost. Includes the cost of living salary (€ 38,000 per year &#8211; / + correction factor for each country that can be checked on the website Marie Curie). This is a gross salary; net salary will be reduced after the deduction that would apply in the host country, such as taxes and social security. In addition, the researchers recruited will receive a mobility allowance (700 &#8211; 1000 euro per month, depending on the correction factors and family circumstances); in some countries may tax, in others not.</p>
<p>All applicants are expected to pursue a PhD at the host institute. While the applicant has been enrolled in the PhD program may apply (depending on the condition of mobility), in general preference will be given to applicants who will enroll in the PhD program of the host institution. Physical presence is a necessity, the researchers will be involved actively in the implementation of the program and the organization of training and dissemination activities. The researchers also will spend time perbantuan in a non-academic and the time to visit at any other university of the network. As part of the training program titled researchers selected will attend a series of local undergraduate program and a series of networks throughout the training program and summer school.</p>

Successful applicants will have their fees waived for each year of their period of study (1 year for MPhil students; 3 years for PhD students) together with an annual maintenance award of £10,000. The scholarship is for one year in the first instance and in the case of PhD students, subject to satisfactory progress, will normally be renewed up to the maximum of a further 2 years.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A PhD scholarship is available within synthetic chemistry in relation to research in new biomaterials. The project is a collaboration between the Technical University of Denmark (Department of Micro and Nanotechnology), Bispebjerg Hospital, Rigshospitalet, and the biotech company 2cureX. The purpose of the project is to develop a novel screening system for early selection of the most efficient medical treatment for individual patients with colorectal cancer. The PhD project will take place at the Technical University of Denmark, Department of Micro and Nanotechnology.<br />
<span id="more-4221"></span><br />
The PhD project involves organic synthesis of new biomaterials that can act as controlled drug release systems in a diagnostic device that is under development in a cross-disciplinary project. The focus is on how to control the surface chemistry of nanoparticle systems based on lipids and polymers and on functionalizing biomaterials with bioactive molecules. Characterization of the biomaterials is also an important part of the project.</p>
<p>The starting date is as soon as possible.</p>
<p>The PhD student will be a part of the <a href="http://www.nanotech.dtu.dk/Research/Research%20groups/Colloids_and_Biological_Interfaces.aspx">Colloids and Biological Interface group</a> at the Department of Micro and Nanotechnology.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications<br />
</strong>The ideal applicant should hold a Master of Science in synthetic organic chemistry or, alternatively, polymer chemistry and have a strong interest in working experimentally in a cross-disciplinary environment. Strong communication skills and a strong academic record is an advantage. The applicant should strive towards developing scientific skills at the highest level, be ambitious and hard working.</p>

<em><strong>Eligibility</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li>The Open Scholarship Scheme is only open to applicants already holding an offer to study for a degree programme at the University of Leicester.</li>
<li>Candidates for Open Scholarships must be classified by the University as international students for fees purposes.</li>
<li>For Open Scholarships, candidates must not be in receipt of a full scholarship (tuition fees and living costs) from any other sources. Students may only receive one partial scholarship from the University, whether it is an Open or Departmental scholarship. Students with partial scholarships from other sources will be considered.</li>

<p><em><strong>Eligibility</strong></em><br />
The candidates must fulfill the following conditions:</p>
<ul>
<li>Background on the relevant technical areas. Preference will be given to candidates that better understand video compression principles, stereo/multi-view processing and computer vision, including view synthesis and depth estimation</li>
<li>Strong motivation for research work on the video compression and processing fields and for the publication of results in international conferences and peer reviewed journals</li>
<li>Fluent in English and with good skills in technical writing and presenting</li>
<li>Good programming skills (C/C++, Matlab, etc.) are required</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The research will be developed in connection with the research project R-ARE, which is a long-term project focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and development in regions of varying economic density. R-ARE is placed at CIRCLE and is led by Professor Martin Andersson at CIRCLE. The project is carried out in collaboration with the Jönköping International Business School, and includes several international research partners in Europe and US. <p>The accepted candidate will get access to extensive research databases, such as longitudinal matched employer-establishment-firm databases for Sweden that are linked to firm-level Community of Innovation Surveys as well as patent and R&amp;D data. These databases may be used for empirical research in the dissertation work.<br />

<em><strong>Eligibility</strong></em></p>
<p>An applicant has basic eligibility for third cycle studies if he or she:<br />
1. has been awarded a second cycle degree,<br />
2. has completed course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits, including at least 60 credits at second cycle level, or<br />
3. has acquired the equivalent knowledge in some other way, either in Sweden or abroad (Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 7, Section 39)</p>
<p>An applicant is eligible to be admitted to the third cycle degree programme in Economics if he or she fulfils the basic eligibility requirements, and has documented qualifications worth at least 90 credits in Economics and independent projects (degree projects) worth at least 15 credits in Economics.
