Research areas will be within investigation of multi-sensory control strategies for locomotion using a state-of-the-art virtual reality system, split belt treadmill as well as mechanical actuator systems. Investigations will also concern the contributions of visual, vestibular and proprioceptive information to the control of locomotion in both healthy and diseased populations.

The Principles of Programming research group in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth (NUIM) is searching for a postdoctoral researcher to work in the area of modelling stream programming languages. The research is part of the Exascale Stream Computing Project, in collaboration with IBM and other Irish universities
The ideal candidate should have a PhD degree in Computer Science and/or Software Engineering, possess good practical software engineering skills, and have previous experience with parallel programming or stream computing. Familiarity with compiler front-ends, metamodelling or software language engineering would be an advantage. Good communication skills in English are also required, including experience of writing papers for international conferences and journals.
