The Talbots Charitable Foundation is proud to offer the 2012 Talbots Scholarship Program for women pursuing a college degree later in life. Since its inception in 1997, the program has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships. The Department of Biology will award up to five scholarships to overseas students for undergraduate entry in 2012 (or for deferred entry in 2013). Each scholarship is worth £1000 annually for the duration of the course*, subject to satisfactory academic progress. Successful applicants will be required to meet the balance of the costs of their course.
Scholarship applications should be made on the Biology Overseas Students Scholarship application form. Scholarship applications will be considered from those who have already applied, or have been accepted, for admission on to the course.

The VSGC Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $8,500 to rising juniors and seniors who are enrolled full-time in a program of study in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) and have a specific faculty-mentored research project that has NASA or aerospace relevance. Awards are one-year, non-renewable scholarships. Students may apply for the following: a $3,000 student stipend during the 2012–13 academic year and/or a $3,500 stipend during summer 2012 or 2013 (must be specified in application) plus, $1,000 research allocation for materials and travel to support research activities conducted during the academic year and/or $1,000 research allocation during the summer 2012 or 2013 (if doing summer research).
