The VU Fellowship Programme (VUFP) is a highly selective scholarship for students who have excellent study results and are strongly motivated. In his or her prior academic education abroad, the applicant must have achieved excellent study results which are relevant for the programme for which the student whishes to enroll. The applicant will be among the top 10% of his/her class for the relevant programme followed abroad.

The value of the award is a maximum of £4,000 per annum towards fees or maintenance costs or travelling expenses and is tenable for the duration of the programme of study, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
Eligibility
The scholarship is awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit to citizens from the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia and Slovakia who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a programme of study and whose personal circumstances would make accepting an offer from the University difficult.

This Scholarship was established to support new students enrolling at Massey University with a previous record of high achievement in the following categories: “Academic; “Arts (composition, performance, creative writing, and / or visual arts). Up to 150 full-time and part-time Scholarships may be awarded annually. The value of the Scholarship shall be $3000 for full-time students, or pro-rated for part-time students, for one year. Applicants who apply for and are successful in more than one category will receive recognition of that but will only receive remuneration (to the maximum of $3,000 or pro-rated for part-time) for one category. The Scholarship will be paid in two instalments upon confirmation of enrolment in semesters one and two following the official withdrawal dates for these semesters.

Scholarships are offered to students who are nationals of countries outwith the EU for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University. A minimum of 15 scholarships are available for the 2012-2013 session with each award worth £2,000 per year. Awards are tenable for the duration of the programme of study.
