I graduated with Master of Business in Tourism Management in 2000 from Victoria Iniversity, Melbourne, Australia, I lecture in Tourism Management at Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya.

My PhD study topic is ‘Role of of Entrepreneurial Leadership in the Success of Community Based Tourism’ . The purpose of the study is to investigate how local entrepreneurial leadership capacity influences community based tourism as a poverty alleviation and developmental tool, the aim is to remodel developmental approach in rural communities in Kenya and other deloping countries.

I am currently an M.Phil student of Environmental Protection at the university of Ghana-Legon. My thesis is centered on the provision and protection of quality water to the rural areas in Ghana. The thesis is also linked to waste management and urbanization which may affect and increase demand for quality water. I will be very grateful if I am considered for your program in Local Development and Global Dynamics from the 2011 academic year since I will complete the M.Phil program in June 2011. 5/I am Gashaw Abuhay from Ethiopia.I have Masters Degree in Regional and Local Development Studies from Addis Ababa Univeristy,Ethiopia.Currently I Work for BahirDar University as full time lecturer in the Department of Disaster Risk Management and sustainable Development .In the depatment I lecture courses like Community Based Disaster Risk Management,Sustanable Developmentand others.Generally I have good understanding on the interface between the local and glogal development dynamics. I graduated with Master of Arts from Addis Ababa University (in Ethiopia) in 2006 specializing in Regional and Urban Planning. Currently I am working for Ministry of Federal Affairs being as an advisor in Equitable Development for Emerging Regions in the country.

The PhD program that you intend to offer starting from next November is quite related with my profession as well as current job. I was graduated from Alemaya University, Ethiopia, in field of Agricultural Extension (Rural Development field) with qualification of B.Sc. and M.Sc. and would like to apply for entrance to your university as a post graduate (PhD) student in Agricultural extension, Rural Development, Agricultural Economics and related Natural and Social fields. I have more than four years working experience in Agricultural and Rural development sectors.

At this time I am serving as Instructors in Wolaita Sodo University, in Department of Rural Development and Agricultural Extension. I addition to this, about two years I have been serving as assistance Registrar in the same University. I have great interest to continue my further education in order to upgrade my professional skill, if I get a chance. I will send all my educational documents and working experience.
