• Project B: Immunoproteasome function in COPD, Supervisor: Silke Meiners
• Project C: Characterization of the fibroproliferative & immune response in bronchiolitis obliterans. Supervisors: Jürgen Behr, Marion Frankenberger
• Project D: Phenotyping the alveolar macrophage in the work of transition from acute to chronic lung inflammation, Supervisor: Tobias Stöger
• Project E: The involvement of IL-17 in the immunopathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary illness (COPD), Supervisor: Ali Önder Yildirim
• Project F: Dendritic cell-expressed matrix metalloproteases: Potential targets for the treatment of bronchiolitis obliterans, Supervisor: Werner von Wulffen
